The three opening themes are ' Namikaze Sateraito' ( 波風サテライト, ' Namikaze Sateraito' ? lit. Nine pieces of theme music are used for the episodes three opening themes and six closing themes. The English adaptation of the Naruto anime is licensed by Viz Media. All three seasons were shown on TV Tokyo in Japan. The seventh season ran from October 2005 to April 2006, the eighth season followed from May 2006 to November 2006, and the ninth and final season was featured from November 2006 to February 2007, with the last episode airing on February 8, 2007. These three seasons were the last episodes in the Naruto anime released before the beginning of the anime adaptation of Naruto: Shippūden, the second part of the Naruto manga.

They are based on the Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto, but follow original storylines not found in the source material, serving as filler.
